Extractability Fume Extraction Inspection/Service/LEV Test
- Due to the continued widespread occurrence of occupational lung diseases in the UK HSE published a guide - HSG258 on LEV for employers and their employees who depend on LEV systemsto protect their health.
- COSHH regulations require that all LEV systems are subject to a thorough examination and are to be tested every 14 months, including all oil mist, welding fume, smoke and dust extraction units.
- LEV testing is required for compliance with health and safety standards and test reports often form part of company's insurance requirements. Inadequate testing can result in employers being prosecuted, insurance being void and employees becoming unwell.
- You can find more information on what the law requires, advice and guidance at - www.hse.gov.uk
- Did you know that we can arrange for a comprehensive LEV service on all types of extraction equipment?
- Half day and full day site visits available - The length of the visit is determined by the type of extraction system, how many units require testing and the site location.
- Please provide full details for quotation or contact us today to find out more information.
