ESAB Railtrac BV1000 automated welding tractor.
- ESAB's Railtrac BV1000, an automatic welding tractor specifically designed for repair welding and cladding or railway track sections with 4 different programs
- Automated FCAW solution. Portable, light-weight equipment. For any type of wear of railway components.that need repairing. For all material grades used in railway components.
- A single operator can quickly and easily assemble, program and control the equipment. Training the operator to use the machine is extremely easy and fast meaning track closure is to a minimum.
- The control units repairs any defects on any type of rail compoent such as rail ends, swtich bldes, wing rails and crossings.
- The welding can be performed by way of weaving across the rail, longitudinal welding or frame welding.
- The unit consists of two rail grippers, a rigid aluminum profile (rail), a carriage with a transverse oscillation mechanism, an electronic control unit and a remote control.
- The control unit stores several programs of transverse oscillations in memory and controls the operation of the oscillation mechanism.
- The oscillating motion starts from a moving centerline that is tied to the inner or outer side surface of the rail. It is possible to adjust the position of the centerline in the transverse direction during welding.
- By programming different vibration speeds, it is possible to control the thickness of the overlay on different parts of the rail surface.Using a remote control panel, the operator controls the hardfacing process from a convenient place for observation.
- The BV1000 is equipped with a transverse oscillation mechanism and can perform four welding programs.
- Welding speed, m/min 0,1-1,5
- Amplitude of oscillations, mm 1-80
- Control voltage, AC current 30-46
- Track is NOT supplied
