Lincoln STT II MIG Welder with LF30 Feed Unit
- Tired of spatter, smoke, burn-through, or poor fit-up slowing down productivity?
- The revolutionary STT 11 MIG welding power source can solve your welding problems by combining high frequency inverter technology with advanced Waveform Control Technology in place of traditional short arc MIG welding
- STT - Surface Tension Transfer is a GMAW short circuit transfer process, developed and patented by Lincoln Electric
- Welds that require low heat input are much easier - without overheating, minimising weld distortion - ideal for open roots, gaps and thin materials
- Reduced spatter and fumes due to controlling of the current, achieving optimum metal transfer
- Reduced consumable costs with the ability to use 100% Co2 or argon shielding gas with larger diameter wires
- See pdf on website for more details and advantages of using STT vs Short Arc GMAW and GTAW
- STT is the process of choice for low heat input welds. It's also ideal for: Open root – pipe and plate • Thin gauge material – automotive •
- Stainless steel and nickel alloy – petrochemical utility and food industry • Silicon bronze - automotive • Galvanized steel • Semiautomatic and robotic applications
- Good bead control and faster travel speeds — Can replace TIG (GTAW) in many applications without sacrificing appearance.
